For You to Cheer up
Have you ever felt tired or sleepy in the middle of the day? It seems that many of us are familiar with this. BUT how to make sure that your boss at work, a teacher at a University, or just your friend or significant other does not cause unnecessary problems, seeing your sleepy face?
You may be surprised, but there are many ways in addition to tons of coffee, chocolate and liters of energy drink. Let’s look at the most original and least common ones.
1. DRINK SOMETHING WITHOUT SUGAR
As paradoxical as it may be, sugar, like caffeine, gives you energy only for a short time. Strength will leave you after an hour from the moment of its use. But if you refuse using it, you’ll lose some additional kg. Amazing, isn’t it?
Laughter is a stress killer. And it’s also invigorating. (Use this advice as an excuse to visit YouTube in the next half hour). Also laughter helps to live longer.
3. THINK HARDER
By making the brain work faster, we help the body to cheer up! For example, a quick reading, brainstorming in a group, or thinking about a new idea allows you to feel a surge of energy.
Just a few sips without leaving the table will be enough.
5. TAKE A FEW DEEP BREATHS
Deep breathing with the rise of the diaphragm makes the blood run faster through the veins, what charges you with energy.
6. DRINK MORE WATER
Sometimes, while working out in the gym or doing routine chores, we forget to drink water in the necessary quantities. But even a little dehydration can lead to drowsiness, so always keep water handy.
7. SING OUT LOUD
Singing requires breath control. Sing a song and get a lot of oxygen, which will release additional energy. And, according to research, the tone increases more for singers than for listeners.
Those who don’t talk much to others feel unhappy and, as a result, don’t sleep well (scientific fact, you know). But people who chat while working in the office feel more cheerful.
9. ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE
When the room is too cold, the body tells the brain: “it’s time to sleep.” Put on a sweater or find a way to raise the temperature to get rid of sleepiness.
10. SIT CLOSER TO THE WINDOW
Do you fall asleep in meetings or classes? Get closer to the window. Sunlight, fresh air, and even an interesting view can overcome distraction.
11. SNIFF A LEMON
Lemon essential oils have been proven to have a stimulating effect.
12. SURROUND OURSELVES WITH RED
It is associated with victory and self-confidence. Look at the red and purple (or wear clothes of these colors) to feel more cheerful.
13. STAND UP
Sometimes it seems that it is better not to change the position, so as not to be distracted, but in fact, you focus on the task itself only part of the time, and the rest of the time you just look at the monitor. To cheer up and come up with a fresh solution, it is often enough just to get up from the table.
We hope you will take some of these methods into account. You can even have several at once. So, come to work in red, laugh and chat, sing out loud, and don’t forget to think hard. Good day.
