Improve your blog fast, using these 7 key tips: authority, commitment, keywords, relevance, promotion, writing, unity
Blogs are popping up every day. With the friendlier, more personable tone, blogs are experiencing huge traffic leaps and helping companies to gain the exposure they are looking for.
It’s all about getting traffic. You can have the best idea or most marketable produc in the world, but without proper exposure, your website will just sit there stagnant. Get that information out of your brain and onto the computer screen. Relevant, engaging information that is updated on a consistent basis is key. Of course, there are some pretty lame and embarrassing blogs out there. But with the proper help, youwon’t be shameful. Here are some tips for non-embarrassing blogging success:
1) Stay on topic
Chasing rabbit trails is not what your blog reader will appreciate. Define your topic and stick to it. Pack the most relevant and trusted information into your blog post as possible.
2) Be authoritative
If you are going to succeed in your chosen industry or niche, be sure that you have a thorough knowledge of rhe topic and can speak with an authoritative voice. No one wants to read regurgitated information that you have ripped off from another source. Whatever topic you choose for site, be sure you have enough interest in the subject to keep up with the latest news on the subject. Be sure all your facts are correct. Your reputation is at stake
3) Be relevent, even groundbreaking
Blogging is your platforotm to the world, use it wisely. If you are providin you readers with relevant, new ideas, they will keep coming back.
As stated earlier, the subject you are blogging about should ideally be one that you have direct experience with, not just a subject you think is trendy at the moment.
4) Make a commitment
Create a blogging schedule. Yes, it requires commitment and discipline, but your readers don’t want to return to find the same post they read last week. Occasional breaks are fine, but be careful. Your visitors are there for a reason. Give them what they are looking for.
5) Keyword saturation
If you are going to make it in the search engine rankings, you will need to learn about keywords and including them naturally in the title and body of your post. In order to use your blog to achieve true marketing success, you will have to learn how to write for the web. Keywords used throughout and a post of no more than 500 words. Simple, short and sweet.
6) Quality of writing
Always proofread and use spell check. Although this is true, someof us just don’t have the knack for writing. Developing quality content and constructing grammatically correct, flowing, easy to read sentences that have nice transitions from one paragraph to the next may sound easy as can be to the seasoned writer; but what about the rest of the world? If you know what you want to say, go ahead and put your blog post together with the best you can and submit it for editing. Having wellwritten blog posts is also attached to your credibility. If your readers are having to battle with choppy or run on sentences and misspelled or misused words, they will quicklyfind another blog to follow.
7) Promote, promote, promote!
From having an RSS feed to signing on with Twitter, Facebook, forums, and blog directories – do everything you can to promote your readership.
Blogs are perfect for developing a small community of followers that will turn into a large following as time goes on.
