News today. Trump’s disagreement with Biden’s policies over the construction of the wall
Former American President Donald Trump spoke about the destruction of the United States due to the policies of the current leader Joe Biden on the country’s southern borders. He is quoted by Fox News.
According to the ex-president, America is facing a catastrophe due to the uncontrolled flow of illegal migrants, usually from the southern borders of the country – from Mexico. Trump stressed that under his administration, border controls “were in excellent shape” and were much more effective than they are now.
“We stopped the cat and mouse game, saw through fraudulent asylum schemes, and defeated smugglers, drug and human traffickers. The wall [with Mexico], despite the terrible delays on the part of the Democratic Party, could already be completed, and it could bring many benefits,”the politician said in a statement. Trump concluded that now the United States is gradually being destroyed from its southern borders, and it is very painful for him to watch this.
The Republican is not the first to criticize Biden’s southern border policies. In early March, Arizona’s Cochis County Sheriff Mark Daniels said areas on the US-Mexico border had become less secure and more open to criminals since the Democrat took office. He explained that the border special services are not able to fully restrain the influx of illegal migrants, as well as smugglers who smuggle people and drugs across the border.
On February 19, Washington embarked on the first phase of a program “aimed at re-establishing safe and orderly paperwork on the southwest border.” Within its framework, migrants are helped to issue a virtual registration, after which they are allowed to cross the border. At the same time, migrants are now waiting for consideration of their requests and court hearings in the United States, and not Mexico, as it was under Trump.
Prior to this, Biden stopped funding the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico. The statement said that the new US administration “will not allow American taxpayers to spend money on the construction of a wall on the border.” He also stopped the emergency regime in force at the border since 2019.
